It's been quite a long time since our last first 10 minutes, and since a story heavy game like Heavenly Sword is most appropriate for these videos I bought the game on saturday. 2 more videos will follow during the week, along with my impressions.
Update: Second part is online, with a lot of not so precise Sixaxis gameplay.
Update3: Third and last part available.

Well thegame is suppose to be out today or tomorrow (depending where you live) so post your impressions in this forum, and don't forget to ad the "spolier" tags.
I for one dont have it...yet.
It seems that the game is released even in UK GAME store, but I don't understand why, when I called GAME here in Sweden they said its out in 27th, like wtf.
Even on a swedish magazine "GameReactor" it says its out on the 14th.
I am gonna call GAME today again and see whats up, I REALLY want this game.

Ninja Theory pulled out all the stops for this game with Weta Studios motion capture and of course Andy Serkis. None of that came cheap as Heavenly Sword is rumored to be more than twice Microsoft's $10 million dollar investment in Gears of War.
Microsoft appearently passed on Digi-guy's Wardevil as well. They've been working on their game engine for close to three years now, the game itself has been pushed back two years running now with a projected 2008 release. Remember we 1st started hearing about Wardevil in 2005. That's a long time for a project to be a WIP. The longer it's in development, the more it costs.
Also, Vicon recently reported that Digi-Guys purchased 16 of their MX40 motion capture cameras. These are big budget motion capture tools that require a dedicated facility and a Vicon team for installation. As exclusive publisher, Sony is no doubt shouldering the burden of those costs.
I like the ambitious nature of the projects, they clearly have high production value but Sony needs a larger install base to be able to both appreciate them and recoup their investment.

WarDevil sure as hell looks awesome in the images I have seen.
Looks very...sci-fi :D
But yeah I wanted the game until I heard it was PS3 exclusive I didnt care for it, but now that I have a PS3 as well...its on my radar again.
It is said that WarDevil is gonna be shown at TGS...hopefully something very cool :D

i bet MS are so glad they passed on HS.......!
sath bleats on about not bothering about reviews....but reviews are for a reason, to stop us getting ripped off........(sony was right all along when they said "if we make it they wil buy"....*well up to a point*) ,and all reviews have slated the game for its repetative , boring, uninspired gameplay and 6 hrs of it !!!!!! wtf?,
who cares about story, art , sound track , presentation...when the gameplay is uninspired,
read a book for a story, listen to a cd for a sound track, play a GOOD game for a good gameplay experience,
but HS is a very average game at that
god of war HS isnt

I don't have a PS3, but I'm sure hoping that Ninja Theory has success with Heavenly Sword. When an epic project like this one fails it becomes harder for developers to sell the next big idea in gaming to the publishers.
Heavenly Sword is a new IP and made by a lesser known development studio. New IPs keep the gaming market fresh and competitive. We don't want the only epic titles in gaming to be followed by numbers do we?
